Summit’s Arizona preschool is an environment where children are engaged in meaningful play that builds the foundation for a lifelong love of learning. We are committed to our student’s personal and academic growth from the moment they enter our school as 30 month old children, until the day they graduate eighth grade as young adults. This is why Summit’s preschool is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The preschool curriculum is research-based, developmentally appropriate, and taught by educated and experienced teachers.

Learning at Summit Preschool is fun with our hands-on, experiential, play-based curriculum. Students gain skills, above and beyond those needed, to thrive in kindergarten. They develop a joy of learning and inquiry. As a result, for the last three years, Ahwatukee Foothills News named us one of the 
                                                 Best Preschools in Ahwatukee.

Among the many preschool activities, they can be found measuring ingredients for a cooking project, observing changes, creating signage to identify area of the classroom, or figuring out how many children it would take to create the length of a T-Rex!

At Summit, we understand that each child brings unique experiences and abilities. Our multi-age classrooms are staffed by educated, experienced teachers who are committed to creating a place where each child feels successful and excited about their school experience.

Each day, children are given the opportunity to participate in large and small group settings. Number sense, literacy, friendship, art, music, Spanish, tumbling class, dramatic play, building and computers are woven into the preschool activities to provide creative outlets and opportunities for inquiry. The outdoor classroom courtyards offer an extension for learning. Our preschool playground feels like a beautiful park created just for young children. A large grassy area allows children to run and enjoy an exhilarating tire jumper. One and two person bikes travel along the wide, long sidewalk path. Children enjoy climbing and sliding on playground equipment safely located over rubber mulch. Digging in the large sand area is a treat for many children. There is also a large covered area filled with building materials and multi-sensory, activity tables that continually hold new surprises.
